Fun fact... Dalgona coffee originated in South Korea and is so named due to it's resemblance in taste to the popular treat dalgona or ppogpi. I know you're thinking, what's that?!
You might recognise it from Netflix hit, Squid Game - the episode where they had to cut the shape out of the honeycomb with a needle. I found a recipe for this here, by KOREAN BAPSANG
This recipe inspired a little doodle of the biscuits, which you can see at the head of this blog post.
What you'll need:
Instant coffee 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbp
Hot water 2 tbsp
Milk - to serve
Mixer

Although this isn't my recipe, it is my favourite
Method;
Put all of your ingredients into a mixing bowl, except for your milk
Using an electric mixer, on the lowest setting, mix ingredients for around 4-5 minutes, or until your mixture is light and frothy and making peaks. You can do this by hand, but I prefer my electric mixer, because why not make life easier?
Fill a nice tall glass with milk and some ice if you wish, then top with half of your frothy coffee mixture
Mix, and Enjoy!
This recipe makes 2 servings, so you can treat your facvourite person too, or if you want to keep it for another day, pop the left over mixture into an air-tight continer in the fridge and use within 3 days.
I love trying out new ways to get my caffeine fix....so feel free to drop a comment with recipes for me to try!
